Significant six-figure recovery

An elderly woman from Allegheny County suffered a right cranial nerve injury during a surgery known as a temporal artery biopsy. As a result of the injury, she developed a facial droop, and her right eye did not close properly. We filed a medical malpractice claim against the doctor who performed the procedure on the ground that he did not take adequate steps to protect the nerve during this surgery.
