Very significant six-figure recovery

A wife and mother from Beaver County died in the hospital as a result of a condition called toxic megacolon, a severe inflammation of the colon. A wrongful death claim and medical malpractice claim was filed against her doctor who did not take her to surgery soon enough to treat the toxic megacolon before it ruptured.
